It is the light that reflects off the shiny light coloured wire that makes it harder to see through. Costume makers use this technique with mesh on masks, there might be detaileds on the outside but painting the inside black absorbs light, so it's easier to see out of :)

Makes sense! Most wire mesh on window and door screens is black and easy-ish to see through. Probably wouldn’t be as easy if it were silver.

They make these blacker than black colors. They have various odd names, but they have almost 0 reflexivity. It will be interesting to see if you got any more visibility out that color

Shouldn't you build the chicken coop first,then paint the wire? That would be easier.

If we can see the chickens better, the fox, coyotes and hawks can see them better too. They can also smell them from miles away so they don't need any more "hacks".

I am a baker's math type. Your formula works out to be : 324g water, 50g alcohol, 90g dawn. Give or take 1g on the weight of the water and the dawn. Much easier and neater. Scale zeroed out on empty container. Add water to 324g, add alcohol to 374 g, add dawn to 464 g ...completed mix weight 464g, just sayen.

What a mess!! I did everything exactly as they showed but after an hour it doesn't come off like they show. It's all dry and balls up. The bottom that was very dirty is still very dirty but now it has gunk on it. I don't know how I'm going to get it off so I can start over again. Terrible idea and experience.

Ofc it works. It reflects less light. Use mate black for a better effect. It's physics.

I'd suspect it's because the black paint is less reflective that the bare wire. Less glare and light interference.

You do not need to prick plums but hole is already made upon removal of stem. Leave headspace and stuff jar like you would pickles so no worry of airpockets. 4c water with 2 c sugar. Boil ahead of time. Add before canning. Leave headspace.

Thank you ladies! You did such job presenting this video. The quickest way to ruin your oven or possibly burn your house down is tombs the built in oven cleaning mode. It cuts the life of your oven by more than half. I've learned the hard way!

Yep. Very little reflected light. That’s why the window screens on your house are usually a black/charcoal color.
